Great coffee, homemade items, and a little bit of farm life in everything we do.

Our Farm Roots

Wye’d Awake Coffee Shop is a family-run business created by Louise Winters, built as part of our farm diversification from our pedigree Charollais sheep farm.

The farm has always been at the centre of family life, and Wye’d Awake grew from a desire to share that rural foundation in a different way—bringing together good food, great coffee, and a strong sense of community.

Our pedigree Charollais sheep farm is where our story begins. Farming shapes everything we do—from how we work, to how we think about food, seasons, and quality.

Wye’d Awake was developed as a way of diversifying the farm business while staying closely connected to it. Although the coffee shop itself is off-site, it remains firmly rooted in farm life, values, and produce.

Wherever possible, we use local suppliers, and when we can, we bring in produce from the farm, especially seasonal fruit and vegetables.

We’re big believers that food doesn’t need to be complicated to be good—it just needs good ingredients and to be made with care.

And alongside that, there’s always been a love of baking and good coffee, which is really where Wye’d Awake found its feet.

A Family Thing

This is very much a family-run business. There’s always someone helping, whether that’s behind the scenes or jumping in when needed.

As a mum to Nicholas, I also know how important it is to have places that work for real life. Quick coffees, catching up with friends, feeding children who may or may not like what’s on offer—it all matters.

That’s shaped Wye’d Awake into somewhere that’s relaxed, friendly, and understanding of the juggle.

Making Things Easier

That same thinking carries into what we offer beyond the coffee shop.

Our buffet boxes and children’s party catering are designed to take some of the pressure off. Whether you’re planning a birthday party or a business meeting, we try to keep things straightforward, reliable, and tasty—so it’s one less thing to worry about.
